Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Library Faculty Affairs Committee (LFAC) of Washington State University was created in 1971. The purpose of the Committee is to study professional development, faculty review procedures, salary levels, working conditions, and fringe benefits. In the years since, the committee has been charged with additional duties such as monitoring University and Library policies and procedures. The Committee has the power to elect its own officers, make its own rules, and appoint other Library faculty members to assist the Committee in its studies. Furthermore, the Committee was given the responsibility of summarizing written policies and procedures adopted by the Library faculty, Director of Libraries, Vice Presidents, President, Board of Regents, or the State Legislature in an effort to disseminate relevant information to the faculty of the Library.
